CLPD Women’s Collective
CLPD Women’s Collective
The Campaign for Labour Party Democracy’s Women’s Collective is a group of CLPD women members who are committed to taking forward CLPD’s priorities within the Labour women’s organisation. This means the rights of members to select their own candidates and to make policy. And it means the right of women members to an annual two-day standalone policy-making Women’s Conference and to organise as women’s branches locally and elect democratic women’s committees regionally and (via the Women’s Conference) nationally.
CLPD Women’s Collective members are involved in many roles within the Labour Party and Labour movement. They report to CLPD women executive members and advise them on such matters as model motions and topics for debate, fringe meetings with speakers, a Women’s Conference Yellow Pages, upcoming deadlines for elections, etc. They contribute articles to CLPD Briefing and campaign for women candidates for office supported by CLPD.
Women members of CLPD who would like to be involved are welcome, please contact info@clpd.org.uk
